I asked the Akashic Record guides to shed some light on our current American election bedlam. This is what they said:

There is much upheaval and turmoil and that is as it must be. Underground rumblings are shifting the foundation and the old structures cannot continue to stand as they were.

In fact, like an earthquake where the tensions have built up for many years and then suddenly release all at once, that is happening now in your own house of government.

The tension and contradictions have been tightening and tightening and when they release it may seem sudden and everywhere at once, but it’s merely revealing what has been so all along.

And that is nothing to worry about. It is a cleansing process.

You have not come here (to Earth) in the time and way that you have to be pulled down into the whirlpool.

No, it is your time to rise above and witness, watch, hold a space of calm strength and presence, not flinching, not backing down, not turning away and not getting pulled in to the maelstrom.

How can you do this?

Learn to stand steady in a storm. You do this by keeping your light lit, connected to the source of light above and your feet solidly rooted in the source of strength below.

So do you become a pillar of strength and light, a steady witness and a holder of the gate open for the next emerging.
.

If you are not too attached to the old regime and its expectations, and stand solidly positioned as a witness and holder of the gate for the influx of the new… you will be doing your job.
.

Connect to the power of the Earth and the light of the Source above you, so that you become a pillar of strength and a beacon of light.
.

For that is what the world needs and will need more and more.
.

Not only that, but with a smile on your lips of knowing the beauty of what is coming that is not yet here in physical form, that you cannot see, but which you are holding the door open for.

You are the lightbearer, you are the pillar of strength. Stay awake in your highest connection.

it is tempting to get embroiled in the mayhem below, but if you stay anchored in your power as a bridge between Heaven and Earth, anchored in each, you will be known as one to be trusted.

You must not be swept away in the floods, you must actually hold firm despite those swirling waters.
.

That is the vision we hold out for you to measure your next expressions by.

The world is at a turning point. And you are part of the Transition Team.

I must add that what this counsels us to do I agree with wholeheartedly, yet have found very hard to do as the maelstrom is so hard to resist – even addictive. It feels inevitable, even righteous, to get sucked into the polarization.

I do believe we need to somehow find a stance where we both rise above and hold the largest possible vision AND also take a principled stand against what we see as wrong and dangerous. This double-stance exemplifies the paradox of what it means to be a spiritual being having a human experience!
.
This is the most clearly I have understood the challenge implied in our dual nature! So much is at stake. And although physical action is mandatory and urgent, our state of consciousness may actually have the greatest impact.
.
This is an important passage in our evolution. And I wish each of us blessings and compassion as we find our role to play.
