Midlife Women – A Force to be Reckoned With

Screen shot 2015-11-28 at 4.50.59 PMIn 2009 the Dalai Lama declared that the world will be saved by the Western woman.

I think I understand what he meant by that and love that he said it.

But I believe he left out one word: midlife.

I believe that midlife women are a force to be reckoned with. I believe that midlife women who are being called to graduate to the next level of our evolution are part of the force that can transform the world.

I call that force Wise Women Waking.

Actually, Wise Women Waking is a convergence of three powerful forces.

1. The first powerful force is the choice point, the turning point, that humanity is at right now.

Which direction will we go in? Will we continue to head towards destruction and perhaps make our world uninhabitable? Or will we achieve the great evolutionary leap towards a higher level of consciousness that will transform our world and our species? Will we be able to raise ourselves up towards our highest potential and create the world we all long for?

The great amount of awakening happening all over the globe today points to how quickly human evolution is accelerating. And every Wise Woman Waking is part of that movement.

2. The second powerful force is the return of the Feminine, the Divine Feminine principle, to the Earth.

A great part of the current awakening is the resurgence of the feminine principle that has been suppressed for so long, to the detriment of life on Earth. The qualities of the feminine are needed to bring our world into balance and harmony and to restore priority to life, love, and inter-dependence, over power, fear, and domination.

Part of the Divine Feminine that is not always mentioned is the Wise Woman archetype, the energy of the mature female. This essence is embodied by every Wise Woman with years of experience, wisdom, and passionate purpose ready to harvest in the service of life.

We who are Wise Women Waking are part of the resurgence of the Feminine.

3. Finally, the third powerful force is the individual soul of each and every Wise Woman who is feeling called to contribute, called to awaken, called to remember who she is and why she is here at this time. The awakening soul is a huge source of power, love, and wisdom ready to erupt into our world with action, energy, voice, and presence.

As each woman feels the call of her soul to explore and discover her potentials, to be, do, and give more of her true self, to join with the forces of transformation, and to add her personal thread of light to the new reality being woven .. the ripple effect spreads out exponentially. It is time for us to remember who we are on the highest level and to discover that a time of great fulfillment is awaiting us as we step forward and say yes to it.

Not only is it not too late, but this is our time to bloom!

I invite all Wise Women Waking to join this movement, this gathering momentum for transformation in the world, and in the process to discover a joy, power, and energy that you may not have even guessed at before.

Women in midlife and beyond can be an army of light, of conscious intention, and of practical and subtle wisdom to help heal the world. The power lies within each and every one of us when we hear the call…. and answer it.

Within each one of us lies enormous potential power and creativity waiting to be unleashed. We are a force to be reckoned with!

Called to Purpose: Your Next Steps

I’ve been thinking a lot about next steps – my next steps, the next steps you in my community are making, and the next steps that I believe our world is on the brink of.

These are not just baby steps I’m talking about. I believe we’re all on the verge of something big – a true transformation.

And yet, the actual steps have to be easily do-able, or we will never take them. And that includes lots of tiny steps along the way. As we all have heard, a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

What about you? Is there a journey you feel called to embark on? Is there a longing, an inner pull, maybe even a clear or semi-clear vision that you’ve been wanting to bring forth?

And is what’s stopping you that you’re just not sure what your first step should be?

What excites me most about what’s happening in the world today is the intersection of two levels of purpose that a lot of us are responding to.

Many people are feeling the call of their soul, the call of their personal purpose, whether that call is clear as a bell or still shrouded in mist.

And at the same time, many are also feeling another call, the call to share in a much bigger, planetary purpose.  . . . Continue reading

Are You a Spiritual Creative? Part II

Spiritual Creatives are insightful, intuitive, and imaginative, tender-hearted and passionate. We’re great at receiving inspired visions and getting excited about them. We are not always equally great at manifesting those visions. Taking assertive action and putting ourselves forward does not come easily to most of us.

In fact, we often shrink from the idea of promoting ourselves, of selling our services, of competing in the marketplace. This was certainly true of me for most of my life. The world can seem overwhelming and frightening when you’re a sensitive soul.

Hence, we end up hiding more than we need to, to protect ourselves from possible hurt. Not only do we have thin skins; we also have high ideals. Selling often seems crass and unspiritual to us, something we shouldn’t have to do.

But it is time to free ourselves from these self-imposed limits, because this is the time when the world needs us the most. Our gifts are called for now.

The very capacities that Spiritual Creatives have in abundance – creative thinking, intuitive connections, spiritual guidance, and a desire to serve – are exactly what are needed to bring our earth and our human family onto the path of healing.

We are being called from within – from the longing of our own soul to be all that we can be – and from without – by the world’s true and urgent need.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Spiritual Creatives are the people with the greatest gifts to give AND the ones who have the hardest time getting those gifts into the world.

That’s why I am dedicated to helping you free yourself from whatever is holding you back – be it issues around money, success, marketing, and self value; or lack of clarity in your vision and purpose. Whatever it takes, I want to see you bloom.

Because only when enough souls bloom will the earth have a chance to finally become the garden we dream of

Are You a Spiritual Creative? Part I

Many of the people I work with, play with, and are friends with are what I call “Spiritual Creatives.” This includes artists, healers, counselors, coaches, and transformational entrepreneurs of all kinds. Spiritual Creatives are idealists who would also like to be realists, who seek to live soul-powered, inspired lives, serve the higher good, and make a decent living at the same time.

Perhaps you are a Spiritual Creative yourself.

If you recognize yourself in this, you have probably been on a path of personal and spiritual development and awakening for a number of years. You doubtless have many gifts to give the world, and those gifts are knocking at the door, wanting to be let out.

You may have a deep sense that you were born for a purpose, even if you’re not quite sure what that is. You know you want to make a difference, to help others, to make the world a better place. You may believe you have some role to play in the historic shift of consciousness taking place at this time. I believe you do too!

I have always felt poignantly the gap between the potential within each of us and what does or does not get actualized.

That gap is particularly painful when it comes to Spiritual Creatives, who have so much to give, and whose gifts are so badly needed by the world at this time. And yet we may be the very folks who  have the hardest  time getting our gifts out into the world.

I include myself in this category and, as a late bloomer, I am finally letting my light shine out from under that bushel. Why this is I will go into more in my next post.
