I decided to retire this project at the end of 2015. I don’t expect to resume my new moon messages in the future (though one never knows).
I appreciate all the enthusiasm and interest I have received for collecting and sharing this information over the past two years. The experiment has enriched me greatly, though I have not yet assessed the results. I am looking forward to reviewing my own New Moon Journal for the past two years to see how many of my wishes have come true. (What about you?)
This new moon is all about future vision, truth, wisdom, and the expansion of consciousness (some of my favorite things). In fact, it’s the perfect platform for launching the new year.So let Sagittarius revive your spirit! (Especially if you’ve just been through the ringer, as many of us have.) Let it direct your attention to your highest aspiration, and the fulfillment of your purpose. It’s time to become part of something bigger than yourself through the sharing of your unique gifts – and to do so with other people equally excited about your vision.
This New Moon in Sagittarius:
Friday, Dec. 11th, 2:29 a.m. Pacific, 5:29 a.m. Eastern, 10:29 a.m. GMT. (The intentions are best set around that time, or within 8 hours after, but within the next two to four days is also acceptable.)
WISE WOMEN WAKING/ BUSINESS BOOSTING TIPS:
The areas to focus on when setting intentions include:
- Quest for Truth– Seeking higher guidance through prayer and meditation; study of sources of wisdom; probing communication with self and others, in the form of journaling, inquiry, frank and open discussions; frankness and honesty; questioning one’s assumptions; being open to seeing another side of things; seeking to discover what one truly believes.
- Freedom – Adventure, foreign travel, exploring new vistas; spontaneity; trying new things, experimentation; positive expectations, “going for it.”
- Optimism – Overall positivity; having faith and hope; feeling guided and trusting that; friendliness and believing the universe is friendly; good luck and feeling lucky; having a generous spirit, embracing others; saying “yes” to life.
- Inner and Outer Nature – Listening to one’s own intuition, hearing and trusting inner guidance; peace of mind from spiritual connection; spending time in nature, experiencing the beauty of nature, feeling connected to and receiving the blessings and energies of nature.
- Higher Knowledge– Having mentors and advisors; enrolling in educational programs and trainings, getting degrees or certifications; seeking solutions, finding answers.
- The Law – Formal agreements or contracts; ethics and morality, conscience; attorneys and court proceedings.
- Overcoming Excess – Issues of extravagance, carelessness, taking shortcuts, self-righteousness, and Pollyanna approaches not grounded in reality.
- For health it concerns hips, liver, sciatica, thighs, and upper legs.
1. Write them by hand. (You might want to keep a New Moon Magic journal – that’s what I’m doing. Or you could write them on cards and keep them in a drawer.)
2. Choose more than one but no more than ten wishes or intentions. (To activate but not dissipate the energy.)
3. Wait until the actual New Moon time or 8 hours after (between 5:29 a.m. and 1:29 p.m. Eastern, on Nov. 11th) or within 2-4 days after that (through Tuesday, Dec. 15th around 5 a.m. ET). Let the wishes form and choose the ones that feel most harmonious and right to you at that time.
4. In phrasing your intentions feel free to use words such as “I choose, I intend, I create, I wish or want to experience, I request, I ask for, I call to me…..” One good choice is “I accept these things — or something better — into my life now, for my highest good, and for the highest good of all concerned.” And then list what you want in the present tense.
5. You might want to say them out loud after you write them down.
6. Some recommend lighting a candle. Or picture the paper you’ve written your list on irradiated by light burning away all anxiety around your desires.
Keeping your written intentions where you can refer back to them later, to see which actually came true, is part of this experiment. It’s also advisable to keep your intentions in mind, especially as the Full Moon approaches, the time for action. These intentions will also be powerful to review at the end of the year!
