The End Is Not Near, But the Beginning Is

Today I have the great pleasure of being the host on Day 6 of the Virtual Blog Tour for A New Dawn Awaits by author E.Dee Conrad.

A New Dawn Awaits is a compassionate and inspiring channeled collection of short inspirational reflections, bringing together wisdom of the ages, showing us how to access knowledge that has been part of our consciousness, but has been dormant, for eons. E.Dee’s intention in writing this book is to help readers reach inwards into their divine essence and outwards to the energy that connects us as one humanity.

Yesterday, E.Dee visited Lynn Serafinn’s Spirit Authors blog http://spiritauthors.com/news/channelling-and-writing-interview-with-author-e-dee-conrad where they spoke about the process of channeling a book.

For today’s stop on the tour, I thought it would be interesting to interview E.Dee on the topic of what it was like to write A New Dawn Awaits and what it’s message means for all of us.

Tomar: Before you felt the call to start writing, were you interested in or involved with channeling? Were you involved in any way with communication from other realms? Or were you in the habit of reading and studying similar texts?

E.Dee: I first got the message that I would write a book in 1980. It was a moment of awareness that lasted about 10 seconds and then didn’t resurface until 2007! I now realize that I have been in communication with other side since I was about 5 years old – I just didn’t call it that. . . . I became actively interested in channeling in 2004, and even took a one-day course to “learn” how to channel, when I briefly thought I would like to pursue a career as a medical intuitive after reading a book by Caroline Myss. I left the corporate world in 2005 because I wanted to do my part to help humanity and give back to society in a meaningful way. Becoming a medical intuitive seemed like a good choice, but then I was guided into palmistry and tarot reading, which I had been doing since I was 16. I feel my stint as a palmist helped hone my channeling skills to the point where I was then able (and willing) to write A New Dawn Awaits.

Tomar: How were you able to surrender to the process? Was it easy for you or did it require a gradual process of adjustment? Did each chapter come through at a single sitting? Did you do some kind of meditation to get to the place of reception? It is a powerful and very consistent message that comes through these pages. Are you still in communication with these guides?

E.Dee: When the concept of writing A New Dawn Awaits popped back into my consciousness during a meditation in 2007, I was initially resistant to the whole idea. But after my guides assured me that the message was important and they would be with me every step of the way, I agreed to move forward with the project.

Each chapter was written in a single sitting and usually took anywhere from 20-60 minutes to write. The book is in exactly the order in which it was received. Prior to sitting down to write, I would do a 10-15 minute meditation to calm my mind. Some days I would sit for an hour staring at my blank computer screen and no words came. Other days, the words would flow so quickly my fingers couldn’t type fast enough!

I am indeed still in communication with the guides who gave us A New Dawn Awaits. You can read some of their words of wisdom at my website www.edeeconrad.com.

Tomar: How has being the messenger of this strong and hopeful message affected your own life? Have your own views changed? Your sense of trust or feelings about the future? Your understanding of your personal role and purpose? Has it affected your relationships? What about actual daily practices that you may have adopted as result?

E.Dee: In the course of writing this book, I have become much better at hearing what the universe, my higher self, and my guides are saying to me! And this has given me a stronger faith, trust and belief that what I am hearing is not only accurate, but is in my highest interest – even if it doesn’t make perfect sense at the time.

This greater trust that the universe just wants to help me be happy has made me a lot more peaceful and joyful in all situations and circumstances. Situations that would have made me pull my hair out 6 months ago usually just make me chuckle now. My life has definitely become a lot smoother and I have so much more compassion and love for all people now.

I try to meditate at least 3-4 times a week. At the moment, I am loving a little 10-minute chakra chant that really centers me and calms my mind.

Tomar: What is the bottom-line simplest and most urgent message that you want all people to hear?

E.Dee: I feel the main message is you can transform yourself and help all of humanity by doing two simple things: meditating and being aware of your thoughts. You don’t have to meditate every day – 10 minutes every few days is enough.

There are no random thoughts. Every thought you have goes into the Universal Consciousness and affects everyone else. When you become aware of your thoughts, the negative ones will automatically decrease and positive ones will increase. You don’t have to be perfect and remove all negative thoughts – all you have to do is try, and that is enough to shift your perspective.

If this sounds like too much to do, I will take a quote from my book: “If you remember nothing else in this book, remember this: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; think of others as you would have them think of you.”

Each transformation of consciousness begins with a single individual. You can make a difference to humanity. Your thoughts and your actions can change the world. You will not have to wait decades or centuries for this change to occur. This change can and will occur in the blink of an eye.
