Akashic Guides: How to Add Spiritual Power to your Actions

Screen shot 2015-01-06 at 4.04.34 AMI asked the Akashic Record Guides to speak to issues around to action for spiritual entrepreneurs and lightworkers. This is what they said:

This is a crossroads for your world. Action is needed.

Not all action is on the physical plane, so do not make the mistake of equating action with the physical. They are equally important – the non-physical and the physical types of action. Both are creative, generative, and can be transformative.

When and If they are in alignment, that’s where your power is the greatest. Physical action alone is not the answer to leveraging change in your world. The lever of physical action alone is not powerful enough to make the changes required at this time. When you add the energy of the universal force of love to your lever, the magnitude of power increases exponentially.

How can you add the two together? It is not hard. Remember the source and the destination at all times when you go within to choose and clarify your action choices.

Go within to your inner sanctuary and there call to you your favorite agents of spiritual power, however you conceive of them. It can be your own higher consciousness or a seeming outer being, whichever inspires you with most trust.

Enter into a silent connection with that higher source of knowing and submit to that co-creative field the request or desire you seek an answer for. Position the desire in relation to your highest purpose and for the good of all.

Open to receive the answer, the guidance, and the blessing of the energy you counsel with. Allow it to enter you whether consciously or not. Trust and know that the seed of your mission, your goal, your vision, has been received and planted within you. Trust that, thank your partners and go about your life.

Now let inspiration strike you however it does, whether in a random-seeming daydream, a chance encounter, or an overheard bit of talk on the radio. Gather the bits of greenlings sprouting through the casement of your life.

You are ready to bring new life into being through action. Outer action in the physical plane. But not until the joining together of the higher and lower, the inner and the outer has come to pass.

Why is Action So Hard? (Plus Some Remedies)

Boulder in RoadWhy is it often so hard to take action? Especially when there’s something you really want to do – like create a business that’s an expression of your soul?
One of the things I focused on in my recent New Moon in Aries call (Aries = Action) was the blocks to action. Taking action has always been a challenge for me, so I’ve given this a lot of thought.
As a creative visionary, it’s more natural for me to think, vision, plan and imagine than to ground my ideas in action. I prefer the non-physical realms where everything is easy and quick. In the physical world it’s just the opposite – accomplishing things takes time and effort (have you noticed?).

I know many spiritual creatives who want to contribute to the world also deal with these issues, big time!

So I’m listing here some of the major blocks to action that I see. And I’ll take the top three and break them down for you – the issue, the truth, and the remedies.
(In future articles I’ll do more.)

Major Blocks to Action for Entrepreneurs:

  • Fear of rejection or worse (Tall Poppy syndrome, Persecution Syndrome)
  • I’m not ready (Perpetual Student Syndrome)
  • Lack of confidence (Women’s Confidence Gap Syndrome)
  • Perfectionism – (Craftsman’s Syndrome)
  • Feeling stuck, no ideas, don’t know what to do (Shut Down Syndrome)
  • Too many ideas, can’t choose or focus, scattered (Creative ADD – Entrepreneur’s Syndrome)
  • Start but don’t finish (Aries syndrome)
  • Disconnect between mind and belly  (Visionary’s syndrome)
  • Memories of astral plane  (Spiritual Longing Syndrome)

Fear of Rejection (or Worse)  (The Tall Poppy Syndrome or Persecution Syndrome)
Issue: The fear of being judged, criticized, and rejected if you shine your light too brightly, get too big and are too visible. Could include fear of getting attacked or even killed if you are seen in your truth and your gifts.

Truth : 1) We’re sensitive, we react strongly emotionally. We’ve been hurt in the past and it’s natural to want to avoid pain.
2) We’ve had trauma in past lives, and carry embedded memories that can lead to irrational-seeming fears.
3) There’s a huge history on planet Earth of people being persecuted, harmed or killed for shining their light. Past lives aside, we tap into the collective energy field that holds the frequency of danger if you get too visible with your personal truth or gift.  This is real, but not personal to us today and definitely not helpful in expressing our gifts and living our purpose now.

Remedy: Treat these fears seriously. When they are deeply imprinted in our souls, they need to be addressed. This issue undermines so many sensitive, beautiful souls! Do some work on those beliefs and karmic imprints, to dissolve them. Heal the inner parts that are afraid. This is important, for without healing this fear you may be shutting down your energy source and it’s like driving with one foot on the brake.(There are many methods for healing, including EFT, which is easy to learn for free online and to use yourself. I also teach several other methods, including inner parts work, belief clearing and karmic clearing. Contact me if you want help with this.)

Not Feeling Ready (The Perpetual Student Syndrome).
Issue: This is one of many lies we tell ourselves. We say, “I need a little more training. If I just take that one course, it’s all I need. Then I’ll be ready”

Truth: Sure, we love to learn and learning is great, and there’s always more to know. But really, this is a delaying tactic. (I used this for decades myself.) Underneath it is a feeling of inadequacy and fear of risking painful consequences.

Remedy: You must catch yourself at this and challenge it. What’s underneath? Usually it’s the same basic fear: I could get hurt. What if I fail? What if people don’t like me? What if I succeed and can’t meet the expectations? Find out what your fears are and deal with them. There has to be a bigger and better reason for action than just staying comfortable and safe. At some point you must make the commitment to take actions – even baby steps – beyond your comfort zone, for the sake of what you really want.

Lack of Confidence (Women’s Confidence Gap Syndrome)
Issue: In a recent article about lack of confidence in women, authors Katty Kay and Claire Shipman wrote: “Confidence is the stuff that turns thought into action.”
If you feel, as I have, a disconnect between thinking and doing, these women say the bridge over that gap is confidence. Giving in to the anxiety, believing the lies about not being good enough, needing to excel to even dare voice an opinion, … even if these thoughts are unconscious, and what you’re aware of is slumping shoulders and wanting to give up…. this is a confidence issue. And it’s societal, not personal to you. It’s widely prevalent among women, butt sensitive men suffer from it too.

Truth:  We think we must feel confident in order to take action, but the opposite is true. Action is what leads to confidence. The way to gain confidence is by taking action. If you wait… (“I need to make one more training, get one more degree”)… until you feel confident, it will probably never happen.

Remedy: Fake it till you make it. It’s okay to pretend, in order to get past that barrier.
Push yourself beyond your comfort zone. You don’t have to always feel confident. You can feel courage instead – which is  feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
Take baby steps. Keep stretching bit by bit.
Get help – do it with friends, someone to nudge you and hold you accountable. Hiring a coach really helps.
Power Poses! By just taking certain stances, you feel more confident. Raising your arms up in a V, taking up space, is the body language of winners. Do it on purpose – your body affects your psyche. Go for a brisk walk, take deep breaths, take up space. You’ll feel like a winner!

If you’re dealing with any blocks to action, I invite you to contact me so we can talk about it. I know I can shed light on your situation and how you can move past it. After all, we’re still operating in the aura of Aries, so let’s take advantage of that energy!

It’s REBIRTH time with Aries New Moon!

New MoonAfter all the intensity of the past few months, solar and lunar eclipses, equinox, and a lot of tumultuous energies, we can breathe a sigh of relief as we simply LEAP into new life with the clear forward momentum of Aries.

As the first sign of the Zodiac,
Aries is for some the true beginning of the year and has the energy of rebirth.

Aries is fire, a warrior, all about dynamic action, initiation, courage, independence, authenticity, pioneering enterprise.

This is truly the sign of the entrepreneur if any sign is.

Aries is known for loving to start new things, but being less good at follow-through and completion, which is also true of many of us creative visionaries. But this month the leaping of Aries the ram will be balanced by the more grounded and steady energy from Mars (the planetary ruler of Aries) being in Taurus, the bull.

So the ideas you come up with this month you WILL be able to ground and bring to fruition. You will be able to stick with your inspired initiatives and manifest your dreams. Take advantage of this.

This Aries new moon is a perfect time to plant seeds that call for courage, daring, a leap into the unknown with both feet – and that are close to your heart and express the essence of who you are.

If you have been sitting on some cherished dream – this is the time to go for it! The Universe will support you. This is a great time to push yourself beyond your comfort zone. That is Aries‘ nature.

This coming New Moon in Aries:
Saturday, April 18th at 11:56 a.m. Pacific, 2:56 p.m. Eastern, 6:56 p.m. GMT. (The intentions are best set around that time, or within 8 hours after, but within the next two days is fine.)

BUSINESS BOOSTING TIPS:
The areas to focus on when setting intentions include:

  • New Beginnings Start new initiatives, take action, blaze new trails, follow your impulse. Don’t be afraid of being first or different, don’t be afraid of failure or success. It’s great to be a pioneer. This is a time of fresh start and rebirth. It’s a perfect time to start a new business, project, or life path.
  • InnocenceExpress your innocence, honesty, directness, authenticity. Express the true you, there is a pure positive energy you can trust.
  • Exploration Explore new paths, take risks, follow your joy in creative self-discovery. Follow your own truth and forge ahead. Pursue inspired ideas for new projects. You will be successful if you don’t fear.
  • Independence Be independent, self-reliant, autonomous. Trust yourself, don’t compare or fear other’s opinions. You do not need external validation. Do what you love and value.
  • Self-Assertion Dare to be assertive, ask for what you need, hold clear boundaries. There’s no need to defer to others – be bold.
  • Courage Rejoice in your courage, leadership, “warrior” nature, strength, boldness, confidence. Trust and act on your impulses.
  • Combat Self-Absorption – Notice tendencies for selfishness, disregard for others, vanity, anger, impatience. It’s not all about you.
  • For health it concerns skin, face, head, brain, eyes, headaches and dizziness.
Here are some tips for how to use the New Moon energy to plant effective wishes/ intentions/ visions:

1. Write them by hand. (You might want to keep a New Moon Magic journal – that’s what I’m doing. Or you could write them on cards and keep them in a drawer.)

2. Choose more than one but no more than ten wishes or intentions. (To activate but not dissipate the energy.)

3. Wait until the actual New Moon time or 8 hours after (between 2:56 p.m. and 10:56 p.m. Eastern, on April 18th) or within 48 hours after that (through Monday, April 20th around 2:56 p.m. ET). Let the wishes form and choose the ones that feel most harmonious and right to you at that time.

4. In phrasing your intentions feel free to use words such as “I choose, I intend, I create, I wish or want to experience, I request, I ask for, I call to me…..”  One good choice is “I accept these things — or something better — into my life now, for my highest good, and for the highest good of all concerned.” And then list what you want in the present tense.

5. You might want to say them out loud after you write them down.

6. Some recommend lighting a candle. Or picture the paper you’ve written your list on irradiated by light burning away all anxiety around your desires.

Keeping our written intentions where we can refer back to them later, to see which actually came true, is part of this experiment. It’s also advisable to keep your intentions in mind, especially as the Full Moon approaches, the time for action. These intentions will also be powerful to review at the end of the year!

I have also created a
NEW MOON MAGIC FACEBOOK PAGE
